Our bereavement program offers personalized bereavement support to patients and all members of the greiving process.
Expressing your grief is a normal reaction when someone you love has died. It is not uncommon for that grieving to begin even before the actual death and last longer than a few weeks or months afterwards. Every person grieves differently and there is no timeline for how long it takes before your heart and spirit start to feel more settled. Losing a loved one is difficult and can be extremely exhausting. Generations Hospice is here to support the entire hospice care team thoughout the grieving process.
Generations Hospice offers continuing grief and bereavement support to families, friends and staff while a patient is under our care and for up to thirteen (13) months following the patient’s passing.
Support for the patient and their loved ones starting at the time of admission up until 13 months after death
Phone calls, visits and follow up check-ins from bereavement specialists, chaplains and volunteers
Referrals to grief therapists, and community support groups and other support resources
Yearly Memorial Services
Bereavement collaterals, newsletters and educational materials
